The Perfect Birthday Gift!

Yesterday, I walked out of the shower and headed for my room. I saw a package sitting on my bed and my dad called out, "Something came for you!" I hurried to get that box open! Inside a rather big box, was a small box....

What could this be?? I opened it up and there it was .... a beautiful, black and white diamond cross necklace! It's perfect and I am so in love with it!

My husband did so good, don't you think?? He explained to me what he feels it symbolizes. The black represents there will be tough times in life and in our relationship but that we will always get through it and see those white diamonds! We will get through everything together. And when I am stressed out and feel so overwhelmed, I can always turn to Him. Because he will be away for many months, it assures me that I am never alone! God is love! He is the one who put this amazing man in my life that I get to be with forever and ever. I love my gift and want to wear it always!

Happy one month of marriage, husband! I love you so much! I am so blessed!

Birthday Beach Trip!

I went on a lovely trip to the coast with my parents in celebration of my birthday :) It was a short trip (two days, one night) but it was just enough to get away and enjoy the beach. My parents really wanted to take me somewhere instead of just sitting at home, doing nothing on my 20th birthday. First stop, Avila Beach!

It was such a beautiful, sunny day!

Me and my beautiful mama! <3

The Old Custom House totally remodeled. I miss the old, Old Custom House but the food was equally delicious!
Avila beach completely redone.

We got lucky with the weather! It was so sunny and warm but there was a cool breeze. With this great weather, we had to lay out and take a bunch of pictures!

And this is what my dad does... lol

 Pismo! Beautiful suset!
My parents! Aren't they cute? We stayed the night in Pismo and got up the next morning and headed to Morro Bay before heading home.

We stopped in a few little shops and I HAD to put this on! Captain Rodriguez!

This ship was anchored there and fueling up...four huge, diesel trucks full of fuel to fill this guy up! It was pretty impressive. I'm sure it's so tiny compared to the ship my husband is on though! Lol. I really enjoyed myself, my parents, relaxed, and ate PLENTY! Oh my goodness we ate so much! But who cares, it was my birthday :)

Disneyland as a MARRIED Couple!

A couple of weeks ago, my husband took me to Disneyland :) It was right after my last final when we got in the car and drove to Anaheim. Because we didn't have much of a honeymoon after the ceremony (I had to drive straight back to school for my last few finals), this trip to Disneyland was kind of like our honeymoon <3 We stayed at a very cute, Spanish style hotel that was only a block away from the park so we not only walked ALL over the park but also there and back from our hotel. We got some exercise! The first night we were there, we just hung out and walked Downtown Disney and went into all the little stores. Ezekiel was so close to buying a remote control car! "Build-your-ride" I think the store was called lol but he didn't end up building a ride. We headed in early to get some rest for the BIG Disneyland day!

Us sitting next to the fountain at Downtown Disney.

We woke up early the next morning to get ready and be at the park right when it opened! It opened at 9 and closed at 12am so we wanted to be there all of those hours! Lol I somehow always forget how exhausting Disneyland can be. Needlesstosay, we went back to the hotel room a few times to nap, eat, and to refresh. I was so excited to be there with my husband!!! We had gone a few times together but never as a married couple. We were talking about the very first time we went together when we had only been dating for a little over a month...how far we have come! Well I guess a lot of other people had the same idea as us because Disneyland was PACKED! We were there right when it opened and it was already a zoo! So we knew what to do, we had to hit all of the big rides before the wait for everything was 90 minutes. The first ride we went on was Indiana Jones, of course. Lol that's always the ride we start our day with. And then we did Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, etc. BUT most importantly, we absolutely had to get the bride and groom ears before doing anything else! I have always loved those ears and thought they were the cutest!

The most expensive little hats I have ever purchased.... but worth it! We got our names and wedding date stitched on "Ezekiel & Rebecca 05-16-2011" Wow, we have already almost been married a whole month! As soon as we put these on, the compliments were neverending! "You guys are so cute, congratulations!" "Those are the cutest ears, congratulations!" "Congratulations!" "How sweet, congratulations! And thank you for serving our country!" Ezekiel was wearing his Navy sweatshirt, and I made myself a Navy Wife zip-up that came out much better than expected!

We were pinned! Haha. After purchasing our ears, the lady asked us if we got our "Just Married" pins! We hadn't, and she said, "Well let me get those for you!" And handed us these...aren't they adorable! Throughout the day, strangers were either stopping us and congratulating us or we could hear them whispering, "Look, they just got married! How cute!" It was so sweet how many strangers were so happy for us! It made the trip that much more special. BUT it got even better! We were getting sleepy and ready to head back to our huge, comfy bed back at the hotel but of course had to end our magical day with the Disneyland fireworks show. We were standing there gazing up at the lit up sky when all of a sudden this lady taps us on the shoulder asking us if we had a camera. I looked at her a little confused and she said, "I'm standing back here looking at your two with your ears, and your sweaters and looking up and the fireworks and I am thinking to myself, if only I had a camera to capture this!" I couldn't believe how nice that was! I handed her my camera and we continued to watch the fireworks as she stood behind us taking picture after picture trying to time it right with the fireworks! I think she did an excellent job!

She asked if they came out okay and I showed her how great it looked! She said, "I love that! It's like there are fireworks everyday. I love young love! Congrats you two and thank you for serving. My husband is also in the Navy so it means a lot!" She was just so genuine and sweet! A great way to end our trip and begin this new journey... married life!
