Our Wedding

My dream wedding became a reality on Friday, August 19, 2011. It was more beautiful than I imagined and it honestly could not have gone any better. The whole wedding weekend was just perfect! Ezekiel and I flew out to Sacramento on Wednesday morning where my sister picked us up to head to Lake Tahoe. We met up with my parents and headed to the cabin we rented out. The cabin had the most amazing views! This is looking out my bedroom window...

Waking up to THAT every morning? I could get used to it! On Wednesday, it was just my parents, sister and husband. We were very tired from our very early flight so we all just hung out in the cabin, went to Tahoe Pizza for dinner and then came back and played some card games. Thursday is when everyone else arrived. We were hanging out at Camp Richardson, laying out on the beach and playing in the water  and then all my bridesmaids arrived! We were all playing in the water but then we had to get back to the cabin because we had to get ready for rehearsal at 6 and for our night out afterwards!

Rehearsal was fun! It was so exciting to see everyone pair up and walk down together. It made me very anxious to see it all come together with the decorations, guests, etc.

My dad kept doing funny things whenever we rehearsed "giving the bride away." One time, he pretended to be angry and slap Zeke lol and another time he grabbed him and smothered him with kisses! It was hilarious!

 Always making me laugh!

Maid of Honor/Sister!

Then Ezekiel and I said our goodbyes! It was the last time we would see each other until the ceremony and he was off with the guys and I was headed back to the cabin to get ready to go out with my pretty girls!

We went to the neatest restaurant! It was like a buffet. You get your bowl and you go around and choose pasta, vegetables, meat, sauce, etc. whatever you want! Then you go over to this huge circular bar and one of those cooks takes your bowl and puts all of your ingredients on this big grill thing! Lol they put on this whole show while they're sautéing your food. They're tossing and juggling their knives and throwing bowls over to this bin; very entertaining! And then they put your food on a plate, hand it to you and then you go back to your table. It was so much fun! It's called "Fire and Ice" and we kind of just stumbled upon it last minute. I am so glad we did! My friend Chelsea was hilarious, she went back like five times! Took full advantage of that buffet! Haha.

My friend Chelsea and I doing the "pregnant" pose! She wants us to have babies, already!

We all felt so bad for Zeke; the boys hadn't planned anything for him! So... we ended up meeting up with them! So the whole wedding party ended up at the cabin and we were all just hanging out, talking, laughing... until like 1 am! I had to be up early to get ready, it was wedding day! So the boys went to their hotel and I was off to bed to get a few hours of beauty sleep. I couldn't really sleep, though! Too nervous, anxious, excited!

WEDDING DAY!

I was up bright and early! Got right into the shower and headed to get a spray tan. My second one! I wanted to make sure I was super, duper tan! And then I was off to my hair appointment. She did such a great job! Exactly what I wanted. After hair, it was time for makeup. Kathy did my makeup. I absolutely loved, loved, loved my makeup! So gorgeous!!!! She did such a great job.

It was that time... to put on the dress!

Isn't my hair so fab?? Lol
 Tan, tan, tan!
The dress was actually a bit big since my last fitting! Phew! That made me excited haha luckily, my mom is brilliant and such a great seamstress she fixed it real quick!

It was time to head to the venue. That's when my breathing stopped. I got so nervous! Let's get the show on the road!

Time to take lots and lots of pictures!
 Groomsmen!
Wedding party. Doesn't the red and white look great! I loved my colors!

Mr. and Mrs. Ezekiel Rodriguez! Walking into our reception area... time to party!

Beautiful cake.

I got him good!!! Lmbo

Everyone thought he got my garter off waaaay to quickly!
 Ezra caught the garter!

And my sister caught the bouquet! Scratch that, she tackled her way through to catch it! Uh oh! Haha

Our song.. "Love Never Fails" by Brandon Heath

There wasn't a dry eye during the father daughter dance. We danced to "I Loved Her First" by Heartland.

Mother son dance <3

Then the real dancing begun!!

 I was attacked!
The battle! It got serious... I had to lift my dress up. Notice how filthy my dress is!!! When my parents took it in to be dry cleaned, they said they have never seen a wedding dress that dirty and they have been in business for 30 years! That's what happens when you're having such a good time!!!

My mother in law claimed she didn't know how to dance... pfff she got low!!

It was very emotional at times.

Happily ever after :)

Our baby!

Our baby= a bunny named, Bunny! She is the cutest. Well, most of the time! Rabbits are much more interesting than one would think! They way they communicate fascinates me. I read this article all about bunny language because I was just so gosh darn confused at the things she would do!

1) Why does she keep nipping at me? She hates me!
Well turns out "nipping" isn't a bad thing. It's apart of grooming and rabbits nip each other but it doesn't hurt them because of their thick coats. Grooming is serious business in bunny world! If they groom or you groom them, it's like saying "You respect me, I respect you."

2) Why is she running in circles around my legs?
This is a "I fancy you" sign and courting one in a way. Yes, it's time to get her spayed.

3) Why doesn't she let me pet her all the time?
Stroking is like grooming which goes along with the respect rule. You can only begin grooming if one is invited to groom. So in other words... I can only cuddle up and pet her when she "lets" me which is usually shown if she comes over to me and nudges or puts her head close to the ground by me. It's very disrespectful to just start stroking her when not invited to do so.

4) Is she okay? She's running around "thumping?"
Thumping is their way of signaling "danger!" Danger can be anything from me dropping something in the kitchen or if I come around a corner unannounced. They are easily startled because they are prey in animal world.

5) Why does she hop away from me and turn her back?
That's her way of saying "I don't like what you just did" or "You're annoying me." Rabbits love their freedom so if I'm following her around and trying to cuddle with her or play with her then she hops a few feet in front of me and then turns her back towards me. And I read this works doing it back to her as well. She tried to dig in the carpet so I said "No!" firmly and turned my back to her. She then came up to me a minute later and nudged me to stroke her which is like an apology.

They are a lot smarter than I ever imagined! It's been fun trying to communicate with her (I must look like a crazy person in my apartment if someone were to see me). She finally got warmed up to wearing her harness and leash and I've been taking her outside for little walks. There is this trail by my apartment complex. It's very nice and relaxing walking the trail in the evening.

I ran the trail tonight so I'm pretty sure I'll be sore tomorrow! I don't know why I decided to run it tonight, I do not like running! I went to see "Crazy Stupid Love" and I really enjoyed it! I went on a date with myself! Haha

The BIG Move!

It was that time... to head to Washington! What an adventure it was. Not to mention, the longest drive! 17 hours!! Blah! Luckily, it was a very beautiful drive. Clean air, blue skies and green all around. Not the LA environment I am used to. After 13 hours of driving, a very interesting night in Portland and another four hours of driving later... I made it!! The only thing I was more excited about other than getting out of that car was finally seeing my husband! <3 We picked him, and drove straight to the apartment complex to sign the lease. My first apartment! And the place we would call home (for the time being). My hubby did a great job on finding a place. I love our apartment. We wasted no time! We went straight to Target for some essentials to fill up our very empty home. It's still needs a few things but it's a work in progress. I was just so happy to be off the floor by the third night of being here lol. We also didn't waste any time exploring our new turf! We headed to Seattle to see a Mariners game.

And got us some matching Mariners shirts! And they won that game.. woohhoo!!

We had a lovely fourth of July where we watched the fireworks over Union Lake. It was a spectacular show! I kept thinking it was the finale but it was just the show!

Yacht madness! It was crazy how many there were!

We walked four miles to an ihop...

Beautiful sunset..waiting to get dark for the show to start!

Tight squeeze! <3

Because my love was going to be gone out to sea for month, a few days before they were going to leave we decided to have a day together in Seattle.

We went up to the stop of the Space Needle... here are some breath taking views from on top of the world! Well, on top of the city of Seattle anyway lol

 Union Lake
 The ocean
 Us, way up high!
 The only active volcano
We got iced coffees and somehow, he managed to fling his against the glass and drop it and all of the coffee spilled out onto the floor. All of this happened on accident of course...but he was very upset because he only had a few sips! Poor baby!
The Space Needle!

I miss my hubby so much! :( He's been gone two weeks now... two more to go! I am able to talk to him for the next four days so I am happy about that! But that last week and a half where I am unable to talk to him is going to be such a draggggg!!! Just like these first two weeks. It's been hard, lonely, and just plain BORING most of the time. I definitely need a hobby. Lol like...blogging more!
