Birthday Beach Trip!

I went on a lovely trip to the coast with my parents in celebration of my birthday :) It was a short trip (two days, one night) but it was just enough to get away and enjoy the beach. My parents really wanted to take me somewhere instead of just sitting at home, doing nothing on my 20th birthday. First stop, Avila Beach!

It was such a beautiful, sunny day!

Me and my beautiful mama! <3

The Old Custom House totally remodeled. I miss the old, Old Custom House but the food was equally delicious!
Avila beach completely redone.

We got lucky with the weather! It was so sunny and warm but there was a cool breeze. With this great weather, we had to lay out and take a bunch of pictures!

And this is what my dad does... lol

 Pismo! Beautiful suset!
My parents! Aren't they cute? We stayed the night in Pismo and got up the next morning and headed to Morro Bay before heading home.

We stopped in a few little shops and I HAD to put this on! Captain Rodriguez!

This ship was anchored there and fueling up...four huge, diesel trucks full of fuel to fill this guy up! It was pretty impressive. I'm sure it's so tiny compared to the ship my husband is on though! Lol. I really enjoyed myself, my parents, relaxed, and ate PLENTY! Oh my goodness we ate so much! But who cares, it was my birthday :)

Disneyland as a MARRIED Couple!

A couple of weeks ago, my husband took me to Disneyland :) It was right after my last final when we got in the car and drove to Anaheim. Because we didn't have much of a honeymoon after the ceremony (I had to drive straight back to school for my last few finals), this trip to Disneyland was kind of like our honeymoon <3 We stayed at a very cute, Spanish style hotel that was only a block away from the park so we not only walked ALL over the park but also there and back from our hotel. We got some exercise! The first night we were there, we just hung out and walked Downtown Disney and went into all the little stores. Ezekiel was so close to buying a remote control car! "Build-your-ride" I think the store was called lol but he didn't end up building a ride. We headed in early to get some rest for the BIG Disneyland day!

Us sitting next to the fountain at Downtown Disney.

We woke up early the next morning to get ready and be at the park right when it opened! It opened at 9 and closed at 12am so we wanted to be there all of those hours! Lol I somehow always forget how exhausting Disneyland can be. Needlesstosay, we went back to the hotel room a few times to nap, eat, and to refresh. I was so excited to be there with my husband!!! We had gone a few times together but never as a married couple. We were talking about the very first time we went together when we had only been dating for a little over a month...how far we have come! Well I guess a lot of other people had the same idea as us because Disneyland was PACKED! We were there right when it opened and it was already a zoo! So we knew what to do, we had to hit all of the big rides before the wait for everything was 90 minutes. The first ride we went on was Indiana Jones, of course. Lol that's always the ride we start our day with. And then we did Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, etc. BUT most importantly, we absolutely had to get the bride and groom ears before doing anything else! I have always loved those ears and thought they were the cutest!

The most expensive little hats I have ever purchased.... but worth it! We got our names and wedding date stitched on "Ezekiel & Rebecca 05-16-2011" Wow, we have already almost been married a whole month! As soon as we put these on, the compliments were neverending! "You guys are so cute, congratulations!" "Those are the cutest ears, congratulations!" "Congratulations!" "How sweet, congratulations! And thank you for serving our country!" Ezekiel was wearing his Navy sweatshirt, and I made myself a Navy Wife zip-up that came out much better than expected!

We were pinned! Haha. After purchasing our ears, the lady asked us if we got our "Just Married" pins! We hadn't, and she said, "Well let me get those for you!" And handed us these...aren't they adorable! Throughout the day, strangers were either stopping us and congratulating us or we could hear them whispering, "Look, they just got married! How cute!" It was so sweet how many strangers were so happy for us! It made the trip that much more special. BUT it got even better! We were getting sleepy and ready to head back to our huge, comfy bed back at the hotel but of course had to end our magical day with the Disneyland fireworks show. We were standing there gazing up at the lit up sky when all of a sudden this lady taps us on the shoulder asking us if we had a camera. I looked at her a little confused and she said, "I'm standing back here looking at your two with your ears, and your sweaters and looking up and the fireworks and I am thinking to myself, if only I had a camera to capture this!" I couldn't believe how nice that was! I handed her my camera and we continued to watch the fireworks as she stood behind us taking picture after picture trying to time it right with the fireworks! I think she did an excellent job!

She asked if they came out okay and I showed her how great it looked! She said, "I love that! It's like there are fireworks everyday. I love young love! Congrats you two and thank you for serving. My husband is also in the Navy so it means a lot!" She was just so genuine and sweet! A great way to end our trip and begin this new journey... married life!

Our Wedding

LAX

I left for LAX at one in the morning. I had to say bye to my hubby :( He is now in Everett, Washington. It was so hard to leave him. As we arrived to the airport at four in the morning and I saw the big LAX sign, I started to really dislike it. It meant I was only minutes away of having to say bye to my handsome sailor. I know I will be moving in with him soon...but we don't know just how soon yet. It could be weeks or a month! I remember when I drove to the airport to pick him up 10 days ago, I LOVED seeing the huge LAX letters and lights and driving to the arriving flights section. So I guess I have a love/hate relationship with the airport lol Driving back home was a very long, lonely trip! And I was falling asleep. I don't recommend doing that again! I caught myself falling asleep when I was just 10 minutes from home. Not good! But I made it safe and then I went straight to bed and woke up not that long ago! Haha. I miss my love so much already! He doesn't get good service on the ship :( but he managed to let me know he is okay and the ship is HUGE! I am glad he is safe. I can't wait to be with him again <3

Aww my dad!

Me being silly! Lol I love looking through all these pictures and reliving the day! I am very excited for the big Lake Tahoe wedding in July!! I know it's confusing like there are two weddings but with him being in the Navy and with his crazy schedule, gotta make ends meet!

Yesterday, we were trying to figure out what to do this weekend. For our honeymoon sort of. After we got married, I had to drive back to LA to school to take finals! Isn't that so depressing?! I have one today and one more tomorrow morning and then I am DONE! It was so sad that I had to leave my husband so soon! He is coming this afternoon though :) I am so excited! He is helping me get all of my stuff out of my room and then tomorrow after my last final, we are headed to Disneyland!!!!! Isn't he the sweetest?! We were trying to decide if we wanted to go to Disneyland or the beach. We didn't want to spend too much money because Lake Tahoe is going to be more of a honeymoon and that's where we will splurge. But my hubby knew I really wanted to go to Disneyland! Before we leave the state and move to Washington! So yesterday we were on the phone and I asked, "So where are we going this weekend?" and he said "The beach." I was a little disappointed but I really didn't want to push the whole Disneyland idea on him because I know it's expensive. But he KNEW where I wanted to go! And before I said anything, he was already looking into tickets and reserving a hotel room at Disneyland :) I am so excited!!!!! Married life is looking good to me so far! Lol I am so blessed. I am so proud of my sailor and so proud to be a NAVY WIFE :) I LOVE MY HUSBAND!

Then we are heading home to CELEBRATE with our friends and family. BUT we will officially be married on Monday! Can't believe it... MARRIED!!! I am beyond happy. This weekend is going to be amazing :) it all begins when I head over to the airport in the morning and see my love!! Oh my goodness, I cannot wait.... so blessed!!

I'M ENGAGED!!!

That's right, I am engaged and getting MARRIED! on July 15, 2011!!! I can't believe it. I am getting married in Lake Tahoe! It's going to be beyond gorgeous! :) My family and I have gone to Lake Tahoe for family vacay at least twice a year so it just means so much that I get to have my wedding there. Wedding planning has been beyond stressful so far (it's only been ONE weekend) but I am so excited and happy for this!

The engagement....

Well, I went to Chicago to go see my love graduate from basic training. He is no a US Navy Sailor and I couldn't be more proud! He did it! And he looks so handsome in that uniform, I must say! It was such an amazing feeling to see him march out with his division behind him. I couldn't believe he was right there and no longer separated by thousands of miles. After the ceremony, I ran over to him and pulled him in for a huge hug only to be told "Stop, stop, too much, get off" and him hurrying out of there. I was so hurt/confused... I hadn't seen him in two months and he was telling me to get off of him? :( What happened?!?!?! When we were outside, he explained he can't do any type of PDA while in uniform. He can only escort me. It was very, very difficult to not smother him in kisses right then and there and to only be able to hold on to his arm... but I understood...kind of lol I didn't let go of his arm though that's for sure!

And when we got to the car where no one could see he was in uniform, I got my kisses! Many kisses! He didn't have too much liberty time so we stayed close to base and walked around the mall together and talked. We stopped by this photo booth ...

It was nice to just be with him. BUT I was expecting him to propose that day so everyone noticed my disappointment when we had to drop him back off at the base and my finger still bare. I know how bratty of me to sit there and pout but I immediately thought the worst and thought, he changed and now his plans with me have changed...

The next day he had the whole day to be with us. We picked up at 7 am and drove to downtown Chicago and walked the Navy pier. It was crowded and we saw many other sailors. There was a huge ferris wheel and I really wanted to go on it but honestly didn't think he would be up for it. It was 150 ft high! But he agreed and with a smile said, "Let's go!" I was so excited to overlook the lake and be on the ride with him, having absolutely NO idea what was waiting for me at the very top. We slowly approached 150 ft, feeling like we were on top of the world, taking pictures and laughing when suddenly, he slid off his seat and got down on one knee. I felt my eyes fill with tears and completely forgot where I was... it was just me and him in this world as he asked me, "Will you marry me?" and popped open the box. Completely surprised and at a loss of words, all I could do was nod and whisper "Yes, yes!" as he slid on the ring of my dreams on to my finger. Being in uniform, I knew I wasn't going to get a kiss but being full of surprises, he planted one on me! The people in surrounding carts on the ferris wheel were waving and saying, "Congratulations, congratulations!" I really did feel on top of the world! Needless to say, I had a smile on my face the rest of the day, the rest of the trip, and still to this day. I don't know how he pulled it off! I had already accepted that it just wasn't going to happen, yet. And how he managed to get the ring without me noticing? It was just more perfect than I could have ever, ever imagined. It being totally unexpected was definitely the icing on the cake. What a romantic he is <3
